Obedience teaches the skills you need to set the foundation of success. We then use this foundation to build the relationship of your dreams.

Dog training is the translator, which bridges the language gap between dogs and humans. It’s more than just therapy for “bad” behaviors. It is the way in which we better understand one another’s needs as two different species. This practice helps both dogs and humans to more effectively communicate, fulfill one another’s needs, and enjoy time together. Dog training not only will empower your relationships, but it will also show you and your dog how to become the best versions of yourselves.

We create programs that deliver easy, remarkable results based off of your goals and lifestyle.

Basic obedience commands consist of the following:

  1. “Come” → recall within arm’s reach.
  2. “Break” → rewards and releases a dog from a command.
  3. “Sit” and “Extended Sit” → “sit” for extended duration of time.
  4. “Place” and “Extended Place” → “place” for extended duration of time) on a defined object that you target (bed, chair, bench, etc.
  5. “Down” and “Extended Down” → “down” for extended duration of time.
  6. “Heel” → walk/run at either your left or right side.
  7. “Leash manners” → no pulling on the leash
  8. Steps towards off-leash reliability → confidently managing your pup without a leash. Please keep in mind that this may not be an option for a pup that experiences severe reactivity or aggression issues.
  9. “Off” → stops unwanted behaviors such as jumping, growling, biting, counter-surfing, excessive barking, digging, chasing prey, etc.
  10. “Drop” → any item in their mouth.

After you and your dog have a solid understanding of these commands, we teach you how to confidentially and reliably perform them with real-world distractions!
